Anyone that was using this microphone could easily be mistaken in thinking that they had been transported back to the 1920’s or 1930’s when this type of microphone was considered to be hi-tech, which it was.
Here are the specs and features of the retro style microphone:
It has two selectable polar patterns: cardioid, allowing it to pick up sounds directly in front at full volume (and sounds behind it at diminished volume) or omnidirectional, allowing it to pick up sounds at equal volume at 360º. A pivot mount on the bottom of the microphone allows you to position it 45º forward or backward and a removable shock ring mount isolates the microphone from structural noise that can muddy sound. The aluminium tripod stand extends to 6 3/4″ at full height. For Windows XP/Vista or Mac. 15 3/4″ H with microphone and mount attached. (2 1/2 lbs.)
Priced at $189.95
