I have a question about how the DIY touch screen kits work, for laptops anyway. Are they model specific or is size the only limiting factor? What sort of processors/graphics cards are required to run them? As I understand it they are overlaid ontop of the existing screen and then plugged into a USB port via internal interface. Is that correct? I am interested in putting one on my Toshiba A505 laptop. It has a 2 GHz processor with 2 GB of RAM and a decent AMD graphics card. Is this sufficient to run the touch screen kits?
