Dell to introduce GPS in the Mini 10

As from next week, the Dell Mini 10 will have the option for GPS, this helps in two ways. The first is that if the computer is stolen and the thieves do not disable the device, it can be tracked. The second and a bit more like big brother is that companies who issue these computers to travelling staff will be able to see where they are.

The hardware consists of a Broadcom A GPS card with built in Skyhook Wi-Fi locationing system, this operates indoors as well as outside. There is also Loki, which can generate 2D, and 3D map views of the location. There is no mention of cost yet, but it is available from next week in the US, with other regions following in the future.
