A partnership between the semiconductor firm MaxLinear and Hauppauge Digital to produce a neat little TV tuner designed especially for laptops and netbooks. The MxL5007T can pick up over the air HD (ATSC TV) signals.
This device also works with European and other standards such as DVB-T, DVB-H, DTMB, QAM and unencrypted HD cable video channels. This comes out as competition to the only other netbook tuner, the one that has been in the news recently from Dell for the Inspiron Mini 10.
