This is a nice alternative to all of the plastic, metal and fabric laptop desk, the reason being that is comes in wood and has its own integrated lamp to put a bit if light on the subject. Unlike many other laptop desks this one does require the use of the laptops USB port as it uses four AA batteries, these provide enough power to keep the LED light going for around fifty thousand hours worth of light (about six years!).
