Best 13 Inch Laptop Of the Year – ASUS UL30Vt Review!
UPDATE: ASUS UL30Vt now shipping on Amazon!
I was going to actually buy the ASUS UL30A-A2 this week until I found out that ASUS UL30Vt can be pre-ordered. (See our Launch coverage of UL30Vt here)
There’s 2 things the new UL30Vt is better than UL30A:
First, UL30Vt comes with a Nvidia G210M graphics card AND Intel GMA 4500MHD, switchable while computing for switching between graphic-intense applications/games or to save battery life. The Intel GMA 4500MHD is not bad for everyday computing but not sufficient for those of you who need to work on HD video editing like me on the go.
The UL30A-A2, on the other hand, does not offer Nvidia G210M graphics.
Second, the new UL30Vt comes with maximum of 8GB memory limit instead of UL30A’s 4GB limit.
It’s virtually the same laptop but for $40 more you get much better graphic card and ability to upgrade the laptop with 4GB of more memory if you want.
I am actually pre-ordering it right now and should have a hands-on review as soon as I get it next week. According to rumors, the UL30Vt will be shipping around 12/5/09 so let’s keep our fingers crossed that we get our hands on one first.
Also, the UL80Vt is nice too if you don’t mind the slightly larger 14-inch LCD with exact specs.
By far, this is the best 13.3 inch laptop you will see for its ultra-thin size plus super-long battery life of 12 hours, which results from 1.3GHz Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo Processor and 4GB of ultra-low-voltage DDR3 memory.
If you are looking for a sleek laptop that will let you do everything on the go without sacrificing your wallet and battery time, this IS the laptop to get so we give it our, “LaptopPimp’s 13-inch laptop of the Year 2009″.

Its an awesome laptop, but the real world battery life is around 7-8 hours with wifi on and a low screen brightness. In power saving mode.
