The single and dual screened device aimed at students the Kno has been collecting pre-orders for a while now and with the end of the year deadline fast approaching it seems that the firm is preparing to launch. However it seems now that according to the Kno Website, invitations are now required! However, do not worry because interested students are able to sign for an invite on the Kno home page!
It was not that long ago when Kno announced that its dual fourteen inch touch screen tablet device for students would be on the market by the end of the year, well a further announcement has told us that the company will be launching a single screen device too!
The Californian based start up Kno has raised a further $46 million in order to launch its double screened digital textbook device, which is effectively two tablets hinged together that operates like a book or magazine.
The company had already raised around $9 million to get things going, taking the total amount raised to $55 million, but the firm feels that is now in a position to get the double tablet design
As the tablet is the buzz word at the moment, it seems that these are all beginning to look the same, so it’s great find that a company has come up with some original thinking, like the “Kno” this is dual screen tablet device, which opens up like a book and has two 14.1 inch screens. It comes with 16 GB of memory and battery that is good for up to eight hours. The downside may be the $1,000 price tag but effectively you could say that you are getting two tablets!
