Mini Laptops Fight Back Against The iPad

With the Apple iPad selling around 300,000 on the first day, it’s would initially seem that the market moved towards Apple.

However, that does appear to have been so, with the makers and retailer of mini laptops reporting that sales of their product are holding up.

This would always happen, especially with the launch of a high profile launch of the Apple iPad, yet it seems that despite good sales for the iPad, which is priced at between $499 and $829.

The HP Slate Vs The iPad

This is a bit like a battle to end all battles, in one corner is the recently released Apple iPad, while in the other is the soon to be launched HP Slate.

Which device would win in an all out face to face battle?

It seems that someone has already done the homework on the two devices and if we are to believe in the figures given them it would seem that, the HP Slate should be coming out as a clear winner.

WePad Not The iPad

Although it is easy to make comparisons with iPad, but this new tablet from Neofonie is called the WePad, so that is close but no cigar for the name and in fact the entire design although looking like the iPad is entirely different.

This is a device that will be running Android and therefore the user gets all the benefits from apps and other stuff on the Android market.

The Attack of the Clones

In China as in many countries the regions are divided up into industries, for instance in China the Shenzhen region is a local centre for gadget manufacturing, not all legal as some clones often creep into the mix.

Talking of which, the tech site shanzai.com took a little look at the ePaper Fair and as predicted there were a few clones on offer, some were not that brilliant either.

The iPad goes on Pre-order

This Thursday the Apple iPad will be going on pre-order this Thursday the 25th February, we know that the starting price is around $500, but you will not be able to get your hands on the device until the 29th March, I know it’s a killer but what are you going to do?
