Young Fast producing panels for Windows 7 Netbooks

The Taiwan touch panel manufacturer Young Fast Optoelectronics are in the market to supply computer makers with multi touch panels that have been specifically designed to work with Windows 7.

These are analogue matrix resistive (AMR) multi touch panels, which are great for netbooks; these will become available by the end of the year. The firm will also manage to make capacitive multi touch panels too.

Dell partners with Nickelodeon

The computer maker Dell has collaborated with the kids TV channel Nickelodeon to build a special edition netbook aimed at the younger computer user, or maybe not! The netbook can be personalised with characters from the channels shows such as, SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly. As well as featuring links to Nickelodeon online games and video content.
