A kid’s laptop from Lenovo sounds like a great idea, but these are basically netbooks with a toughened casing. However, this machine does offer a 10.1 inch LED back light display, powered by an Intel Atom N455 processor, it also comes with a choice of a 1GB or 2GB of RAM and offers up to 250GB hard drive or SSD option. VTech launch the InnoPad

The InniPad from VTech is sort of a tablet device aimed at kids aged between four and nine, it is reminiscent of those Texas Instrument devices of the past, except in this the computing power is substantially improved. The device offers a five inch touch sensitive screen, with built in tile sensor, plugs for microphone and headphones and ports for USB and SD cards. The programmes come in the form of cartridges, which is another feature from past machines. When you think of a cheap tablets, you would not normally expect them to amount to much, but the SL 7 Tablet device from Suli looks to be slightly different to the usual cheaper tablet devices on the market.
