There is a increase in interest regarding smartbooks, these come in between a mini laptop and a smartphone, so basically you are getting all of the benefits of a smartphone but in a larger casing and with a seven inch display.

However, whereas some smartbooks are coming out at $400 or more, this NBPC722 version from Coby comes in at a perfect $85, what else could you buy for just $85?

The Coby NBPC722 smartbook offers a 624 MHz Marvell PXA303 Processor, 2 Gb of storage and of course will be running Windows CE.

Sharp to launch the Netwalker

The Netwalker is slight similar in looks to the UMID Mbook, but you could say that about a few netbooks. this model has a neat little five screen, which suggests it is competing with the iPhone rather than netbooks in general.

Suzuki enter the market with the 701

The netbook market is so big that even new to the market computer makers are getting in on the act, take the Japanese firm Suzuki, they have brought out the nice and neat looking Neutron 701 mini netbook. This is interesting little machine that offers the user a similar features as any other netbook although this one does seem to have a bit more punch with up 4 Gb in RAM.

Is this the cheapest netbook in the world?

We have seen many cheap or value netbooks around, but could this be the cheapest the netbook on the market so far? It is the Lanyu eBook LY EB01 and it comes from Shenzhen in China, where else? Clearly, you are not going to get a super set of features, but then what would you expect for $98! Whether it ever ends up in or Europe or the US is another matter though.

First images of the Skytone Alpha 680

There are not many details around at moment about the Skytone Alpha 680, which will be powered by Android, Google’s operating system. However, here are the first images it is a bit red yet this long awaited laptop has made an appearance and some cool dude has managed to grab a few pics.
