The is the first time that Emtec have tried to enter the mini laptop market with this 10.2 inch display, but surprisingly this machine comes without a hard drive, and there is no solid state disk (SSD) either! What you do get is a brilliant flash drive system that they have called the G Key, what is good about this system is that sharing is simple as each G Key saves the individuals own settings.

Mini laptops are great but they are only as good as their battery, after all what is the point in being out all day if your mini laptop battery runs out before the day is finished. As far as battery power goes, the normal three to six cell battery will last for between two and five hours. However, NCIX are offering the MSI Wind with a nine cell battery that gives the user a brilliant twelve hour life.

Yet another computer maker who has been busy designing and building new computers, this time they are in the SXX series and the are the following, the ten inch IdealPad S10 2 and the twelve inch IdealPad S12 3G, although these may not be the proper titles that these new laptops end up with.

After being launched a while the Archos mini laptop with ten inch display has finally surfaced and what we see is something that is fairly basic but compares with the Dell mini 10 and the Asus Eee PC 1000 HE. This is bound to please a few people who neither want a Dell or an Asus.

This model puts other 8.9 inch mini laptops in the shade, it is a fast starting machine which is always important when it comes to going online while out travelling, instead of having to wait for ten, fifteen or more minutes for it get started, this is starts up in fifteen seconds.
