The name Archos has long been associated with portable media, but in the case of the netbooks, which for a firm like Archos is the next logical step this market has always been a problem area. However, the firm is back with a new device called the Archos Arnova; it is a budget machine and is currently available in the UK via Amazon UK with a $200 price tag.

The exterior design is all that appears to have been changed on this version on the Acer netbook, but when you have Candy Pink, Lavender Purple, Lime Green and Hawaii Blue to choose from, it is going to make you smile even on a dreary day.
It looks as if Asus are making some slight changes to the brands entry level machines, namely the Asus Eee PC 1001PQ, Asus Eee PC 1001PX, and last but not least the Asus Eee PX 1005PX these are recognised as being the lower end of the market mainly because of the processor and memory.
