The HP Mini 311 launched

There have been plenty of rumours about this machine from HP, but until now, we have had nothing firm to go on, but HP has now finally launched the 11.6 inch netbook. It comes with NVIDIA ION graphics and if you are ok with Windows XP then you will be able to pick one by the end of the month or with Windows 7 on the 22nd October.

CPU: 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270

Graphics: NVIDIA ION LE with up to 319 MB graphics memory

Display: 11.6″  HD LED BrightView Widescreen display (1366 x 768)

OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP3

HP Mini gets Tord Boontje treatment

It was only yesterday when we showed you the HP Mini 110 with the design by Vivienne Tam that was a girly version, whereas this design from Tord Boontje is more of a man thing or so you could suppose. In reality the design is down to personal preference and that is where is should be left.

Designer laptops hit the catwalk

It is not that often that you can mention laptop and cat walk in the same title, but as it happens this is one of those occasions and it is quite exciting too. It is all down to the designer Vivienne Tam who has once more come up with a terrific design for the HP Mini.

 

This time the design is more subtle, whereas the previous one was shades of red and in bold patterns, whereas with this design the shades are lower in tone and the design is that of a butterfly. On the catwalk the design on the HP netbook made the computer look as if it is a clutch

HP to offer prepaid 3G netbooks

HP are looking to change the face of the prepaid 3G market by offering netbooks and even other devices at greatly subsidised prices, there are rumours that the prices could be as low as $50 and rising up to $100.

 

In with this deal, the user will get a hundred free minutes to use and then after the user will need to continue under the pay as you go scheme in order to keep the machine connected to the internet. Now the bad news currently this deal is only available in Japan at the moment.

At the weekend Verizon Wireless will be launching the HP mini 1151NR laptop, the cost is going to be around the two hundred dollar mark, which may sound great but this computer comes as part of deal that will require you to spend around $50 per month for data usage. So it’s up to you do you commit to two years of $50 or come up front with the cash and buy it outright.
