It is a sad fact that some laptops actually do get to hot on the lap and can even get that hot that it is just too uncomfortable to use any more. However, there are now laptop cooling pads around that serve two purposes. Firstly, they keep the laptop from overheating and secondly it prevents the laptop from over heating your legs.

Coming out of Japan is the Mouse Computers offering of a Luv Book, this is their latest product and it come fitted with a blu ray drive just to get started with. It the standard 15.4 inch display that we have all become accustomed too. This machine is an unknown so far.

The MacBook Pro series will now include a faster model and new chip options and larger solid state drives (SSD). The fifteen inch MacBook Pro will get a 2.66 Ghz processor as standard, although this could be upgraded to a 2.93 GHz chip for around $300.

The computer manufacturer Asus said that they would be reducing their product last week, but ever since that announcement, they appear to have been launching different models of their laptops every other day. The U and UX series are ultra thin laptops, clearly aimed at the MacBook market but there is only a small amount of information around at the moment, launch is due to be in the second quarter.

There is a sure way for computer makers to make more money and that it to take their product glam it up a bit, call it special or limited edition and add $50 to $100 to the price tag. Well maybe I was a little cynical there. Any way Dell are bringing out a special edition of the Studio Line 15.4 inch laptop, they have thrown in special paintwork and a choice of three trims.
