It is a sad fact that some laptops actually do get to hot on the lap and can even get that hot that it is just too uncomfortable to use any more. The MacBook Pro series will now include a faster model and new chip options and larger solid state drives (SSD). The fifteen inch MacBook Pro will get a 2.66 Ghz processor as standard, although this could be upgraded to a 2.93 GHz chip for around $300.
The computer manufacturer Asus said that they would be reducing their product last week, but ever since that announcement, they appear to have been launching different models of their laptops every other day. The U and UX series are ultra thin laptops, clearly aimed at the MacBook market but there is only a small amount of information around at the moment, launch is due to be in the second quarter.
There is a sure way for computer makers to make more money and that it to take their product glam it up a bit, call it special or limited edition and add $50 to $100 to the price tag. Well maybe I was a little cynical there. Any way Dell are bringing out a special edition of the Studio Line 15.4 inch laptop, they have thrown in special paintwork and a choice of three trims.
A lot of people like to put a cover on their laptops these days, it serves two purposes, first up it makes the laptop to cool as you have added your own individuality to it and secondly the cover protects the surface of the computer and so when you are looking to sell it on its is pretty good shape.
