The latest offering from Maingear is the Titan 17 laptop, it is aimed at gamers and the base model offers a 17.3 inch LED back lit display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, powered by an Intel Core i7-990X hexa core processor and graphics are proved through the dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 485 graphics card.
This laptop aimed at the gamers market will offer the buyer a 15.6 inch full high definition LED backlit display with Super Clear Glare Type Screen and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolutions. It will be powered by the Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor 2.00 GHz with 6MB L3 Cache FCPGA10/Socket G2 and graphics will be provided by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 485M graphics card.
Maingear have added two new laptops to their range, these are based on the Intel Core i5 or i7 mobile processor and NVIDIA Optimus technology, both of these laptops are almost identical apart from the choice of processor.
These laptops offer the consumer a choice of processor, between the Intel Core i5 or i7 mobile processor and it seems from the specs and features that is the only difference between the two machines, as well as a $50 increase for the Maingear ALT-17 over the ALT-15!
Gamers looking for new laptop may be interested in looking at the Maingear eX-L 15.6 inch machine with an LED backlit screen, 4 GB of RAM and 250 GB hard drive and of course a DVD burner for good measure too.
It comes with a $1,600 starting price, but once you start adding some of those optional extras the price can go over $4,000 very quickly, so be careful.
