Getac B300 Review and Specs

getac-b300

If you have and extra $3,200 and the urge to toss your laptop gainst the wall without serious repercussions, the Getec B300 might be for you.

Another in the ultra-tough market of laptops, the B300 is pricey for a XP machine. But, you get some pretty strange and wonderful features for all that cash, including a daylight-visable touchscreen, GPS and a fast set of internals running otherwise outdated tech. Basically, that last part translates to a really speedy compurter for what it is.

But hoestly, outside of the military and construction sites, does this computer have a

Lenovo Thinkpad T400 Review and Specs

thinkpad_t400_h

The Lenovo Thinkpad is one of those laptops that really bridges the spectrum when it comes to cost and specs. The Thinkpad T400 is right in the middle of it all with a modest internal setup that’s great for business or heavier home computing, which should be expected for around $1,400 to $1,600.

Right off the bat, the T400 offers one huge perk in switchable graphics, which means this machine can speed up your day to day computing and save battery life on the go with it’s lower power Intel GMA graphics set. But you won’t sacrifice higehr end video and graphic

Asus Eee PC 1002HA Reviews and Specs

01425sz1i19652800

There isn’t tons of information out there on the new Asus Eee PC 1002HA, but what we do know is pretty impressive. Starting just under $500, this is one of the first strictly business targeted netbooks.

They have a very serious case of MacBook lookalike syndrome, which never hurts. As another note to design, Asus is saying this has a more sizable keyboard.

Internally, most the specs are about on par with netbooks, and it adds up to the standard mid-2 pound range for the overall weight. One upgreade is a 160 GB drive and the inclusin of 10 GB of online storage spa

Sony VAIO VGN-TT190 Review and Specs

01425sz1i19633400

Watch out! This Sony Vaio VGN-TT190 comes with a price — $4,345.00. Yikes! But, is it worth it? Let’s take a look inside and see.

This ultraportable is full of great stuff. And, at 2.8 lbs, you aren’t going to find a notebook lighter and more powerful then the VGN-TT190. I sort of wonder how they packed in an optical drive, 11″ display and wireless support, along with a great processor, into under three pounds. Plus, Blu-Ray! Are you kidding me? And while 11 inches might be small, you can use the HDMI-out port to ship your Blu-Ray movies to a big screen.

Asus G71 Short Review and Specs

asus-g71

All the U.K. readers out there can get excited about the Asus G71, which is being touted as one of the bast gaming laptops out there.

The specs sure make it sound that way. An impressive Intel Core 2 Extreme  running at 2.53GHz is more of a desktop processor, so it will provide the power. And the Nvidia Geforce 9700M GPU will power the most recent games just fine.

Overall, this is a desktop that you can move around. This is a serious gaming machine and I would be happy to have one to play around with, that’s for sure.

ASUS Bamboo Series Early Reviews and Specs

asus-bamboo2

Wow! I first talked about this Bamboo Asus laptop yesterday in the news roundup, and today I wanted to share some of the early specs. I guess this has been out in Taiwan for a while and it will be hitting the U.S. soon.

All things considered, this is a massive little machine. The bamboo is more than just gimmick, and I think the specs speak pretty well for themselves. Plus, the bamboo makes this a really green computer. The pandas have been right about the stuff all along.

It’s a little over 3 pounds, but has a 12.1″ display, up from the small 10″ dis

Samsung R610 Review and Specs

Samsung Electronics America

The Samsung R610 continues the trend of good looking Samsung laptops. Plus, the $1050 laptop has some great specs to offer for the price.

With a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo and 3 GB of RAM, the R610 is a solid home computer. At 6 pounds, it’s amazing the 16 display and internal setup don’t weigh it down more. But, at that size, are we leaving too much of the portability behind? Propably. And that’s the downfall of the R610.  Because it’s larger and less portable, it doesnt stand out against otehr 16 inch laptops. It’s middle of the road, at best.
