Intel call Psion liars

The long term legal case over the term “NetBook” continues with Intel coming out and basically calling Psion liars over the amount of netbooks that the Psion claim to have sold since 2003. Psion have written to the likes of Dell and Intel stating that the name netbook is owned by Psion and has been for a long time.

Intel tempts schools with the Classmate

This computer has been around for some time, but the version 2 has just been shown off at the CES and it means to take on the school market both in the UK and the US where there have been promises to provide all school children with a laptop to help them with their education.

Intel Eco PC

Intel’s Eco PC might be Intel’s challenge to EEC Pcs and all the other mini-laptops coming out.

This is how the Eco PC (or the Classmate PC) is going to look. So far it’s rumored to be a 10-inch laptop with a 9-inch display that weighs a little under 3 pounds and will sell for sub-$400. It’s supposed to run on a 900MHz Celeron processors, with 512MB of RAM, a 40GB hard drive, built-in WiFi and Ethernet. It has decent specs for a $400 laptop.
