Dell’s new Vostro V131 is probably one of the best business laptops out there. Starting at $499, the V131 packs a 13.3-inch screen, coupled with an option of Intel’s new Sandy Bridge Core i5 processors or Celeron. Our recommendation is to take advantage of the Intel Core i5 processor coupled with an SSD hard drive, which can give you near 10 hours of battery life on normal usage plus you will get all the benefits of fast i5 speeds plus the additional I/O speeds with SSD. (Yup, that’s our dream setup for this V131 laptop.) You have a choice of 256GB SSD or 750GB regular hard disk and again, you should opt for the SSD as your boot-up times will be much faster nevermind blazing-speed on disk-intensive apps like Photoshop or MS Word.
