Dell Vostro V131 – Best Business Laptop for 2011?


Dell’s new Vostro V131 is probably one of the best business laptops out there. Starting at $499, the V131 packs a 13.3-inch screen, coupled with an option of Intel’s new Sandy Bridge Core i5 processors or Celeron. Our recommendation is to take advantage of the Intel Core i5 processor coupled with an SSD hard drive, which can give you near 10 hours of battery life on normal usage plus you will get all the benefits of fast i5 speeds plus the additional I/O speeds with SSD. (Yup, that’s our dream setup for this V131 laptop.)

Dell Re-Introduces Inspiron 13z and 14z with Aluminum Casing!


Dell re-introduces their Inspiron 13z and 14z laptops, which have been slimmed down to 1-inch thickness and aluminum back with additional metal finish near the touchpad.  I think this is a great move for a $600 laptop as it makes the laptop sleeker and more usable from portability standpoint.

One more thing I would like to see improved?

If Dell could just cut out the optical DVD drive, which most of us don’t need anyways and slim the laptop to near 3/4 of an inch, it would make the 13z and 14z much lighter plus the battery would last longer.  For people who abs

Sony slips in the Freestyle Hybrid PC


While everyone was busy checking out the new Sony S1 and S2 tablet devices, it seems that the something equally as important slipped under the radar without so much as a second glance.

Lenovo slims down the ThinkPad X1


It looks as if the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 has been on some sort of extreme diet as it comes out at around 22 mm thick at the widest place, it is not in the same class as the Apple MacBook Air or the Samsung Series 9, but never the less this is a nice looking laptop with some interesting specs too.

HP to launch new business laptop


HP is planning to release a new laptop designed for the business user the HP 3105m Mini Executive. But before anyone gets too excited this new machine appears to be an updated Pavilion dm1z, as it will come with the 11.6 inch display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, it will be powered by the 1.6 GHz AMD E-350 dual core processor and with graphics provided through the AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics card this is a useful machine regardless of its history or background.

Dell Beefs Up the M4600 and the M6600 laptops


The M4600 15.6 inch and the M6600 17.3 inch laptops are both fitted with Intel’s latest second-generation Core processors, as well as the Nvidia Quadro and AMD FirePro graphics cards and the 1080p IPS displays. However, these are tough machines with an aluminium and magnesium alloy casing built to meet the MIL-STD 810G specifications for extreme temperatures, vibration, dust, altitude and shock.
