US to get the iiView A2 netbook

Launched during the summer the iiView looks remarkably like an Apple with its slim and light case, but at just $399, it is nothing like any Apple around, but it does represent a good value netbook that looks good too.

Gateway launches Netbooks and Laptops

Gateway have just launched a couple of computers that are using the Windows 7 operating system, one is a netbook and the other is a laptop, a shrewd move by the computer maker to have a foot in both camps!

The $550 EC1430u has an 11.6 inch HD display while the $650 EC5409u has a nice 15.6 inch HD display, both models cater for the user in different ways, it just depends on the users demands with only $100 between them its size that counts.

Want to run OS X on a HP?

Believe it or not, there are people out there that want the best of both worlds, I should know because that sounds like me!

However, I am not sure about buying a brand new netbook only to hackintosh it to death by coaxing it to run the OS X. But sure, there are plenty of people that would jump at the chance. Nevertheless, what you get is the HP mini 311 with an Intel Atom Processor running OS X!

The First 3D Laptop!

You only have to look at the what’s happening at the movies to know that 3D is the next big thing and this is set to become big in the home too with broadcasters looking to launch 3D TV and manufacturers coming up with 3D TV’s the next logical step would be 3D laptops.

It seems that Acer have become the first computer maker to come up with a version named the Acer Aspire 5738PG, this is supposed to be a full 3D laptop. It uses Acer 3D CineReal and TriDef Suite, as well as a 3D coating on the screen and of course the polarized glasses.
