The computer industry is pursuing green agenda these days, well they have to in order to not only look good but also make sure that they are not exceeding their carbon footprint. To this end, Asus has brought out the Eee PC S101H. This machine does not have the usual SSD for storage, but instead has an HDD. The only green feature appears to be the power saving mode.

For anyone that can remember, Palm brought out the Foleo a long time before the mini laptop turned up on the scene; these hand held clamshell devices offered the user a full QWERTY keyboard. The only difference was that the Foleo had to be used with conjunction with the Palm mobile phone in order to be connected.

Laptops are great, but occasionally for some users continuous use can mean back and shoulder pain. This can easily be prevented by using a laptop stand like this one made by Logitech. Asus have been knocking out new mini laptops like anyone’s business, the 1008HA is already appearing in the stores while the extra special 1008HA Seashell has been officially launched in Korea recently but no news of when it is going to appear on the shelves here.
